A Memorial for the Families of the Fallen Marines in Nepal

This blog post is a continuation from the YouCaring fundraising page that was set up to raise monies to purchase memorial gifts for the families of the six Marines recently lost in Nepal. Eighty-one families contributed monetarily, the link was shared 777 times, and three small military affiliated businesses donated or discounted their time and skill to craft the memorial gifts that will be presented to the families of the fallen soon.
This particular post is just an update of where we are in the process.
The Marine Corps Memorial Boxes have been crafted and shipped to a Marine Corps family within the general region of each of the fallen Marines' hometowns. This is what they look like.

The inscribed Bibles and letter boxes arrived to my house this week. I will hold on to them until the Gold Star quilts are completed. At that point I'll mail them off to the families who are holding the Memorial Boxes until delivery to the Marines' families. Each of the letter boxes has slightly different coloring but all have the same Marine Corps emblem on the front and a Devil Dog on the back. The Bibles are inscribed with each Marines rank and name. Here are a few pictures of those.

The quilts are still being stitched and should be completed within the next four to six weeks. Once received the families that have volunteered to meet with the families will coordinate a time to share these gifts and their love (and yours).
Thank you to all who helped make this come to fruition, whether through prayers, sharing the fundraising link, donating your time/efforts, and/or monetary donation, you all made this happen.
